Welcome to Cinoteka ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cinoteka.com and its services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Cinoteka allows users to:

• Browse and discover movies and TV shows;
• Upload media files from their local device to automatically recognise them as movies;
• Build personal lists using both online and local content;
• Share curated lists with others.

Cinoteka is a free-to-use platform. We do not sell, monetise, or access your personal data or local files. All local files remain on your device and are not stored or uploaded to our servers.

When you upload a file for identification:

• It is processed locally in your browser or device;
• It is never uploaded to or stored by Cinoteka;
• We use metadata analysis to match the content with known titles and help you organise it into lists.

This means your personal media never leaves your device.

By using Cinoteka, you agree to:

• Use the Platform lawfully and respectfully;
• Not upload or share copyrighted or illegal material you do not own;
• Not misuse, tamper with, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform;
• Understand that all usage is at your own risk.

All intellectual property rights in Cinoteka, including the design, interface, and technology, are owned by Optimax Software. You may use the Platform only for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Cinoteka aims to provide accurate information and uninterrupted service, but we make no guarantees about:

• The completeness or accuracy of metadata;
• The availability or performance of the Platform;
• Bug-free or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from:

• Use or inability to use the Platform;
• Metadata inaccuracies;
• Shared content or list misuse;
• Temporary or permanent unavailability.

Cinoteka does not require account creation. One can login using just email or Google's authentication. If you create and save lists, they may be stored on our servers. We do not sell or monetise your data. We only store the minimum necessary to provide the service. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the Platform with the date of revision. Continued use of Cinoteka constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
